The weekend was lovely. The adventure was grand.
Everyone chilled in hammocks at our campsite. The water was freezing, but I swam anyway because that's always fun.
We left a day early because the rain chased us out. But it was so good to see everyone. Can you believe how long ago high school was? Already, it feels so far. Is this what old people feel like?
Today there was a lovely sunrise service followed by a nap and a Black Meg's burger picnic at the lake.
I have great friends.
As a side note, I cannot figure out what Pinterest did with their embedding system so I'm having trouble getting a picture into this post. Hopefully that all gets sorted soon.

Adventurers!
I'm off adventuring again tomorrow! This time, I'm going camping (which is a REAL adventure) up north with friends from high school!
So exciting!
No posts for a few days; we'll be enjoying the great outdoors! I hope for sunny sun, but we may have rain and other camping mishaps. Oh well. Every bit is a piece of the adventure.

Prepare
Tomorrow is our 74th annual Easter Pageant. First one I will participate in.
My prayer is that we will all see God move in amazing ways.
Tonight, we prepare our hearts.
This video of a young boy showing Jesus throughout the Bible was just what I needed to see tonight. Click the photo to view.

Spring Resolve
My springtime confession: I feel like spring is the waiting room for summer.
Sad. I know.
There's no more winter activities yet there's still so much hecticness. We're just waiting for swimming and art (or swimming in art) days to come.
That being said: I am loving spring!
Since we basically had no winter in Texas I thought spring wouldn't be a jolt but here we are: birds everywhere, flowers, and everything is GREEN again!
New season. New resolutions.
As for me: Run faster. Keep the grades up. Don't drown in your to-do list. Read a book.
What's on the menu for you?

Era
Do you ever long for another era?
Or feel like you belong in another?
Sometimes I'd love to melt right into Foyle's War. There was a time when I was positively jealous of Sam...
Or maybe some Midnight in Paris? That guy, he just gets me. I know how he feels. He knows what I'm thinking.
It might be a night for that film...

Research
Question: “Did you believe anything strange when you were little?
Like that little bears lived in gutters or in santa claus, or that cars ran on magic.
I mean I don't know. Even something simple and ordinary that you just know better than now?”
I'm doing some research. I've been asking all my friends this question. Anyone have an answer?
Wasn't the world just magical? Isn't it still?

Green
For those of you who follow my Pinterest, you know I'm a little obsessed. I think you know that even if you only read Standing Together Spaces.
But if you know me, you know I like to keep everything organized on there. I just switched to the new look and, while I love it, the shifting is causing some reorganizing issues. It's ok, I'll survive.
I have the four seasons. I have five boards for food. I'm not sure this is really necessary, but I hate it when they're so huge I can't find the bottom! I have one for the past, one for the future, one for cuteness, one for art, one for musing, and one for quotes... and I have one color.
Just one: green.
I almost didn't.
I was afraid I would go to far with it and end up with a whole rainbow.
Green is my favorite color. This color green. But that's not why I did it.
There are so many other fantastic hues I could have chosen, or gotten sucked into. Deep blue. Filtering sunlight yellow. Berry red. Or umbrella red, that bright, crisp, London color. Pale pink.
But green. Green is everything. It's not just that deep, foresty, majestic, pine color I love so much. Green is life. Green is moss growing on the bank. Green is the hills I grew up in. Green upholds the flowers. Green is pushing your hands deep into the dirt one day, and seeing something new come up from the ground another. Green is serenity. Green is Christmas. Green is health and revitalization. Green is being together. Green is God's background color of choice. He put it everywhere.
Take a second and enjoy the greenery.
photo cred: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
I used to think our high school science teacher was crazy for going on about this color. "Green is good!" he would tell us. It was always the extra credit question and we'd roll our eyes.
But I don't think I'd roll my eyes again if I was back there in that moment...
ok maybe just a small eye roll.
